    "So how come it rains more in winter when it's cold?"

    It rains more in winter if you live in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.

    If you live in Qld, Northern WA or Northern Territory you would be in the middle of the wet season and the temperature is far from cold and the rain is plentiful.
