Agreed, their South America resource base is certainly the company maker - the Gold is just a nice bit to put on the top. If it was sold for a decent profit though it would allow development of the South American assets at an accelerated pace without the hassle of trying to secure finance for it. For the long term that would certainly be in the companies best interests.
