I had a call from a Tassal representative who encouraged me to support the bid, I expressed the view that the bid was insufficient. As a long term holder I have seen the progression into prawn farming which I expect to be very successful but I do not think that the opportunistic bid recognises this aspect of the company's activities. I will be voting no, I do not want to see this company lost to a foreign predator.
