MIGA/Worldbanc sets some high ethical standards
before providing support. Naturally they have a
institutionalized checking process which (includes interrogating the inhabitants how the project is being conducted).

It is hardly imaginable that such kind of organisation
would grant their support if those allegations
(exploitation etc) have some sort of merits...

I agree fighting the media makes not much sense but
on a low profile the company should consider to sue
those "allegators" (journos and the vulture lawyers)
to seek compensation for the obvious damage in reputation that has been done.

One also should consider in this context that there
will always been some form of accusations of
maltreating by locals, reasons being overexpectations
what a company like Anvil is able deliver to the locals and naturally divergent business interests.
