Victor was COO of Barminco, Barminco had the mining contract in Kalgoorlie for NST a few years back so there is a relationship from that period. But I dont see that as evidence of collusion.
The mining industry in Australia is small enough, everyone knows everyone. Looking at bios, Victor is the same vintage as NST management, so they have likely known or known of each other for years.
Let's assume EAR seeked sound legal advice before recommending the takeover bid, because these guys are not idiots. An independent valuation, if required, surely would have been that advice, if required. I am pretty sure both companies here have crossed their eyes and dotted there tees here before pulling the trigger.
