We will come back”.Yesterday, May 5, VOA saw a report on Rogeiro’s Facebook page about an attack by Mozambican forces on the Islamic State’s “main base” in Cabo Delgado, allegedly dubbed “Syria”. “Tanzanian and Ugandan commanders are on the run,” Rogeiro writes.The Mozambican forces’ renewed response follows the authorities’ recent recognition that the country is the target of terrorist attacks. Attacks attributed to the group have killed at least 900 people and destroyed hundreds of homes and state buildings in Cabo Delgado province over the last three years.
