High nitrogen also makes crops far more susceptable to disease and insect attacks.
Broke farmers can't afford even cheap fertiliser. Fert companies forced to sell their products at a loss won't stay in business. I suspect both India's farmers and fert companies are in for a tough year. Won't help MAK in short term but ultimately India has no choice but to apply balanced compounds instead of pure urea.
