With the increasing price of nickel, it must be approaching a point where it is economical to re-open the Blair mine without proving up more reserves. We know that the mined resource extends at depth. It is just too expensive to drill it from the surface and requires a bit of a leap in faith to open the mine (say $1M expenditure) so that the ore below the existing mined area can be proven. It would also require a raise shaft to get the ore out more economically, but it is looking feasible at current prices.
