Great post attitudes , do your own research and draw you own conclusions; listening to negative banter in a period when shareholders have been disheartened and down in the dumps...particularly when there is sounds of another potential and bigger project on the horizon can also be very costly indeed...at these levels when a drop or a pip will have a 20-25% loss or gain! bailing out and trying to come back in at a lower price , if successful resulting in increasing stock or gaining some $$$...we have defiantly seen it here..a couple of posters have changed to 'no stock held' sentiment -'sell' , but still continue to post here, but with very different outlook....why????
Management seems to be talking a bit of a hiding on this forum..."they aren't doing anything, they are not disclosing information etc etc "
To be honest, yes the lack of asx updates in regard to ALDP was very frustrating...but we also know that had a tight gag order on it; even the NLC proposal seems to have its own disclosure margins , how tight??? Who knows..
-"Further updates on the status of any development with NLC will be provided in line with continuous disclosure obligations."
The requirement to stay within disclosure zones wrt the LV and India projects...frustrating but what can they do?? In all fairness , ECT have been dropping out a fair few shareholders update through their website...
It would appear that it's been a very busy year for ECT management with ALDP submissions and the on going and continuous associated works , completion of DFT , India/NLC submission 28th of January , followed by submission of a proposal around June, appointment of Fozard in July, Thompson in August..resignation.... 'spilling' of big spending Mike Davies..(oh how business class and 6 star will miss him, IMO ) , the GW , Yes bank partnerships, EPC round up & trimming , establishing links with qualified plant and equipment fabrication partners and now going through refining of CDP pricing for NLC..
.it looks like India had taken up a considerable amount of managements time in 2013; time well spent IMO ..in a market with probably up 50% less cost required to construct and operate a CDP, in a country with economic and energy security with India under considerable economic growth and massive energy infrastructure growth , a country with large lignite reserves and very little thermal coal, but a huge demand for it.
DYOR is very important , India has been in the dark ages, massively underpowered which has stunted its economic growth, read up about the massive drive to bridge the massive gap between power supply and demand; NLCs drive to triple baseload within the next 5 years; read about the country's huge appetite for thermal coal...it has none of its own, thus a huge increase in importation is required.
ECT are focused on a India where route to commercial market is miles ahead of LV, construction and running costs up to half the cost that it would cost in Australia.
Better management, much better market to be in. I won't miss seeing Mike Davis $350k fees plus per year plus $264k travel fees and that's for sure
DYOR
