The main reason why a power station would want to build a coldry plant is because it will be profitable. If a power station produced their own pellets it would cost them around $20/ tonne plus 2% royalties to ESI, whereas if they purchased pellets directly from ESI it would cost them about $90/ tonne.
Payback is 2 years to retrieve their plant startup costs.
