All seems very logical to me; in first instance they (the politicians) have to be seen to respond to the critical situation, but eventually there is only a very limited number of options to provide for the energy requirements of countries such as india and china, which means that nuclear energy remeains on the aganda. If anything, lessons will be learnt, and new plants will be even better and safer.
