Interesting article in The Australian July 20 by Rakesh Sharma - "India eyes coalmines in Australia, coal minister says"
The article reports that amongst others, State-run Coal India and the Steel Authority of India had formed a special purpose vehicle - International Coal Ventures - to invest in coal resources outside India.
I wonder if this special purpose vehicle could be behind Savni Holdings ?
And I guess that Bhushan Steel's current effort to take over BWN is a reflection of this Indian interest in acquiring coal assets outside India.
