or do Indians have first Aussie genetic material??? hahahe...

the thing is y'see.... the movement of the first homo sapiens north out of Africa came through the Indian subcontinent en route to China, Russia, Caucasus, and south to Aus. some remained in the subcontinent and formed the early Indian civilisations, hence the genetic connection. but once in Aus, with the end of the ice age which enabled land passage from India through SE Asia and Indonesia to New Guinea, where it seems the earliest Homo sapiens didn't settle, and into Aus, the people were then cut off from other following waves of migration.

other waves mixed with local hominids which had developed in local groups to make Asian appearance. it seems that India didn't have other hominids to mate with (possibly) as the genetics aren't so diluted.

so of course there are some related Homo sapiens populations on the way to Aus.
