Its actually very expensive for Indian and most Asian countries to travel to Australia - unless, one was a refugee - and that is almost zero now.

The overwhelming majority of Indian who entered Australia, have already achieved a high level of education (paid for by their parents), and most are paying for more expensive education in Australia. They have already been inculcated to the value of hard work and studies by their parents.

That population does not represent vast majority of Indian, in India. The vast majority of Indian do not have the money and education to get into Australia. Most of them are working on salaries of $3k per year.

So its not an accurate comparison if you only compare Indian arriving in Australia to our indigenous population.

Note, there are still many Indian, in India, who live a subsistence life too - for example, nearly 100M Indian with little no education and skills, make between $2 to $4 a day. And there are more than 10M Indian children working on less than $1 a day.
