The announcement from the board on June 2 set no timetable and no direction on any possible bid. Business As Usual really.
Since CBA, PPT and Ameriprise have all sold down at these levels, if a bid is not forthcoming the sp will be decimated before "the Board and management update the market at the time of the full year results announcement in August".
At least there was some pretty decent volume yesterday
