Er, maybe swing trading the XJO sometimes is possible. Just look at the recent chart.
Shorted XJO at the close today, not for a swing trade, but because today's rise was parabolic. Parabolic on a Friday after an inexplicably good run has a high probability of a stall.
Whether day trading or swing trading, trading decisions often depend on perceived probabilities. So, not really day trading or swing trading. Probability trading.
Today the XJO was indeed subordinately following the USA markets. So, if my probabilities are right, then I should probably have shorted the USA markets as well.
