U.S. Options Expiry. Major indices flat. Commodities are bearish.
Dow Jones +0.04%. SP500 -0.16%. Nasdaq -0.18%. Small Caps +0.11%. Banks -0.53%. Volumes are high because of Options Expiry.Dow Jones
DJI up +0.04%. Like the Australian market, the Dow Jones is in a trading range with horizontal support and resistance clearly shown on the chart.
The index is in an uptrend within that trading range. Until it breaks out, this market is for traders. Supertrend (10/2) has been providing traders with timely buy and sell signals.
Commodities.
Commodities Index -0.81%. Energy -0.5%. Base Metals -0.65%. Agriculture -0.93%. Gold fell in a hole -1.55%. Just when Gold was beginning to look bullish again, the Big Boys sent it flying backwards. The most recent candle is a "kicker" - a bearish today pattern.
Australia Yesterday.
The Australian market was up modestly yesterday, due mainly to a late surge - often happens on a Friday.
XJO up +0.34%. It remains trending sideways. It remains, like the Dow, between critical support and resistance. Great for trading, not so much for investors.
Good luck.
