Hi Vitallion,
Not so long ago, I used STW as a tracking ETF for the XJO.
I switched over to IOZ because it is the largest ETF tracking the XJO. My reason was that since it is the largest, the volumes going through IOZ might be a bit more reliable as a guide to volumes on the XJO. There's not much in it. IOZ market cap$5.4 billion. STW $5 Billion.
As you probably know, it is difficult to get daily volumes on the XJO. They are usually delayed by one day. Why that is? Don't know. It is especially galling to a volume junkie.
My charting package (prorealtime) doesn't provide any volume data for xjo. So IOZ seems to me to be the an alternative. Not necessarily great, but OK.
Hope that helps.
