Jokes that fooled the Market

Tesla. In 2015, decided to announce watches called the Model W. The Model W was supposedly a luxury watch. As you can imagine, Tesla's stock jumped, and almost 400,000 shares were traded. According to the reports, Volkswagen was planning to change its name to Voltswagen, which was supposed to be an April Fool’s joke. Needless to say, investors saw an opportunity, and thus bought in early based on these leaks. The VW stock opened at $32.40 and rose to a $38.46 high.
