Hey Guys
IndoChine continues to hire the right people to bring about the outcomes we are all waiting on!
First Mr Niumataiwalu as the project engineer for Mt Kare and now a veteran of PNG Mining Mr Kidston!
I think we are going to see a lot more exciting times with this company.
These guys have done it all before, they have the track record, and are about to duplicate their past successes with the Mt Kare Mine.
My question to you guys is "Why would they join a small mining explorer like IDC if there wasnt significant upside in the project, hence their future earnings and shares they have been given as part of joining the team?"
Cheers Nectar
PNG veteran joins Indochine
Monday, 5 December 2011
FORMER Kidston Gold managing director and Placer Dome executive John Shaw has joined the board of emerging Papua New Guinea explorer Indochine Mining.
The Mt Kare project in PNG
Shaw played an important role in establishing six mines in Australia and PNG, including the giant Porgera mine in PNG which remains a lucrative operation for Barrick Gold.
A qualified geologist with more than 40 years of mining experience that also spans operational management and executive roles, Shaw has been appointed as a non-executive director for Indochine.
“John’s technical and operating background, particularly in PNG, will certainly complement and broaden the board's mix of relevant skills and will enable Indochine to advance its projects and address its challenges with added confidence and ultimately enhance shareholder value that the company’s assets warrant," Indochine non-executive chairman Ian Ross said.
A new drilling campaign is underway at Indochine’s flagship Mount Kare gold project in PNG – which is located just 15km away from the Porgera mine.
The established gold and silver deposit is of around 2 million ounces.
A prefeasibility study for open cut and potentially underground mining is due in mid-2012.
