have to agree with you there - Ugly Australians abound - and, not only in Asia.
the "watcha pay fer that?" beery crowd - the ones who hardly leave the swim-up bar at that seedy Kuta hotel - or the nearest shopping mall.
Make me wonder why they ever waste money on the air fares, when they could stay home, booze, and endlessly "shop". After an ale - or ten - they surely don't know the difference?
But each to their own. I suppose, if they're happy - it's none of my business.
But these people don't even know there's a culture - out there. Let alone have have a clue - about the darker things going on. At diplomatic and governmental depths.
