Dear All,

As I wait patiently for news out of the Block 105 drilling, I have been looking more into the Tanjung Aru Block with an eye to the near term future following on from my earlier post today on Tanjung Aru.

I came across this old presentation (21 July 2003) by Mr. Stephen Doyle, Petroleum Geo-Services Vice President which may be of interest. It gives a good account of the Makassar MC3D survey shot in 1999 (the survey boundary you see on any NEN diagram of Tanjung Aru), and it mentions Tanjung Aru and technological developments in surveying more generally. One can only imagine the improvements from 2003 to now with technological improvements!
