An alternative view by CGT. I am no friend of the Indo's.
Anyhoo. Kiribati recently bought a huge parcel of land in the country I reside in for food security purposes. I figured the policy makers in this country thought it was a good idea because (1) they get foreign exchange & (2) maybe avoid Kiribati boat people coming to these shores if their own food bowls sink beneath the sea.
I see some parallels to the Indo's buying up some grazing land.
Shirley we arent going to run out of land to feed 24 million inhabitants.
