You would "think" that "if" there was any serious substance to the article that JT would be legally bound by the ASX rules to make an announcement with full details.
However, some form of announcement wouldn't go astray to at least allay the fears of SH and prevent them dumping at a huge loss, especially, "if" it proves to have not been "price sensitive".
Don't forget that we are dealing with Indonesia here and JT might be under some "restraint" from making any comment.
VERY messy business, the sooner that it is over one way or the other, the better.
You would also "think" that if JT had any serious doubts, then why accept the extra 6 months extension? IF, as he always says, they are doing so much good work in the area, he had every opportunity to just pack up and walk out and put the real pressure on the local administration.
