Does anybody else get the feeling that Indonesia has virtually disappeared from our collective focus for virtually decades. Who among you knows what is going on in Indonesia now? Very few I imagine. I'm no better. I get an email summary everyday from Jakarta's biggest newspaper, but how often do I look at it. There was a time, well a couple of times really, when Indonesia was front & centre of our focus...and there are no prizes even if you tell me what those times were....if you were either alive or old enough. Indonesia pays attention to what happens here and as the second largest country in Asia, we should pay them the same courtesy. Say, by getting the ABC to drop some relevant news items in its main bulletins, instead of the pap fillers they use
