Australia seems to have an almighty chip on her shoulder and it is high time that our politicians developed some strength when it comes to financial support for other nations.

A country that is in debt is hardly in a financial situation to be giving monetary aid to other countries. How stupid are we?

We gave monetary aid to China until just a few short years ago. The wealth of China is now far greater than we can ever imagine this nation to be at any time any time in the future. Note that Tony Abbott is forcing a Chinese person to sell his recent $40 million purchase of a house in Point Piper because he had done so without getting permission from the FIRB...well, that's a start, but how many people do you know who could even begin to consider buying a house for such an amount. Our local leagues clubhouse has just been snatched up by another Chinese purchaser - $10 million plus and the previous owner will now be leasing the same premises for the same purpose.

Our politicians believe the hype that we are wealthy and able to give billions each year to unappreciative nations or at the behest of the world PTB to fight their wars and take the consequences. Meanwhile foreign interests have bought up acreage in this country equivalent to one and a half times the size of Victoria, and you can bet it's not the useless desert lands that comprise the major portion of the country.

The world has gone mad, but the rulers of 'Down Under' eat the cake.
