I strongly disagree with this sentiment. Why should Australia do anything or not do anything as the result of the behaviour of two individuals who were hell set on causing distress and tragedy across Australia. As for the proposal to swap them for some individuals being held in Australian jails the question must be asked what other prisoners does Australia have for sale and at what price . The proposal to swap prisoners is dangerous and stupid and smacks of desperation on the run next we will see Australians being kidnapped by extremist groups and the Australian government handing over ransom. A very slippery slope indeed . Throughout this tragedy the Australian government has offered such support as it can through the Indonesian legal system but attempts to undermine the rule of law by the Australian government simply because australian citizens are involved has the ability to come back and bite us
What is happening in Indonesia is a tragedy but it is a tragedy of the two individuals own making.
