All countries (western or otherwise) should contribute aid BECAUSE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
It is not the right thing to do because we need to prove we are not narrow minded racist scum who hate mulsim like yourself
It is the right thing to do because these people have gone through the worst natural disaster in history, they need help and those that can provide help should.
A bonus TO DOING THE RIGHT THING is that it is the smart thing for the reason I have already stated, reason that Colin Powell has also stated as bonus to doing the right thing
As for Israel Palestine -what the fuk has that got to do with providing aid to the victims of this current disaster.
