thanks for your world view Rost. i can tell you're a big picture man. Tonys already cut the foreign aid budget coz he has the same simple global outlook as you. Ever heard of cutting off your nose to spite your face? Foreign aid to Indo is brownie point $, its an investment to the political future of the region. Its our small contribution towards establishing a stability that is in our best interests. Disparity is what causes conflict as does ignorance.

I have 10 counterparts in Indonesia who hopefully have the same decent sentiment rather than the sentiments of the rabid nationalists amongst them. Again, old world politics doesnt apply in this modern age...its probably so that your ilk dont quite appreciate that, born of a different generation/time and all....fair enough but thankfully you are now in a minority....histroy has taught us the lessons of conflict.
