I think Abbot was not apologising for the spying ,revving them up so he could pull the pin on some aid (cash) but,now, because of their hostility its got a bit out of hand. He has now chickened out,too little too late,they now see all this a bit serious and have taken their coconuts home, and don't want to play with us for a while.
