According to The Silver Book, compiled by ABN Amro Bank and the consultancy VM Group, silver?s longer-term investment fundamentals remain positive because of new industrial uses for security, health care, clean energy and water purification.

A key factor is that the solar panel industry will remain in almost exponential growth, particularly in the U.S., China and India.

Upside risks for silver will be supported by heightened investment appetite due to high sovereign debt levels, and by the new industrial end uses.
