The only funds likely to outperform over the next year are those with exposure to precious metals, and, to be even more specific, those investing in the physical stuff. All IMO only.

I know several (more than five) people in the last couple of years who have set up SMSFs so that they can hold physical metal in them , as coins and/or bullion.

But it took one of them 14 months to fight his way through ATO blocks to do so - and he hadn't even told them what he wanted to invest in!
