Expensive, how so? Far as I know the catalyst is seriously cheap. The feedstock in the demonstration will be biogas..a wsste gas, and the process is also being run by an electric heating system in the demonstration plant.
If the process works well with biogas, then 99.9% pure methane from gas fields should be quite easy to apply it to? The pilots have been running on pure gas feeds so this is the big test.
