· 3 November 2021: The Independent Review will be considered by the Advisory Committee of Medicines Scheduling (ACMS).

· First week of December 2021: Publication of notice of the final decision.

Some interesting reading in the applications themselves:

Theapplication meets all the criteria specified in the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989,subsection 52E. With the strong results and efficacy of psilocybin foranxietyand depression and for substance abuse and its very low toxicityand abuse potential in a medically controlled setting, it would be detrimentalfor suffering Australians not to have medically supervised access to thisbreakthrough medicine. There would not only be a large saving in theAustralian economy through getting more people suffering from mental illnessinto remission but an improvement in the quality of life of Australianssuffering from these illnesses. This would have profound and vastly positivesocietal implications.
