Hi theVinneys, yes a stunning valuation for ATAI that will have a direct impact on IHL IMO. So now we have a $4.2 Billion MC (AUD equivalent) of a psychedelics company on the Nasdaq. This is the figure the US Market put in it. The equivalent potential for IHL in market cap terms is $3.90 a share. And that is just Psychedelics.
When looking at this industry a while ago, there were only a few players that looked serious of which Compass Pathways and Atai were two that looked to have the credentials, rather than "motherhood" aspirers (a few on the Canadian bourse) that have little else.
I think the reason is that it is difficult to get the right people and projects on board. There are only a few with the credentials. Also worth noting that a major hospital/Uni is unlikely to work with anyone other than those with strong reputations and that also goes for the company they are representing. I sense vey few would get past the due diligence required by hospitals etc....
BTW, I have met Paul Liknaitzky and he is an very impressive individual. He is part of the "who's who" in this industry at a global level. Worth spending time reading up on him and the industry as he is not only is an outstanding researcher but one of the leading recognised industry advocates. And let's not forget that R&D isn't just about trailing Psylocybin for drug efficacy but unique treatment methodologies. Psylocybin R&D goes hand in hand with therapeutics and this is a key area of focus.
IHL has an outstanding team across corporate skills, commercialisation experience and industry leaders like Paul and Sud in the CBD space. As I keep saying, after analysing the OS market extensively over time, there are no companies like IHL on the US bourse. Notice also that the successful ones have a lot of corporate experience in-house and major shareholdings held by key players.
