While I am sure Neefjes is passionate about improving cancer treatment, he is in my opinion going to fail in his quest to advance aclarubicin as an alternative to doxorubicin. With luck he might find some small niche for it, but nothing is going to displace doxorubicin.
I should add that aclarubicin is not just doxorubicin without cardiotoxicity, it has fundamentally different anticancer properties that remain to be proven in the clinic.
While I am sure Neefjes is passionate about improving cancer...
