Immunotherapy worked a miracle for us.
May 2019 had a seizure and diagnosed with a melanoma the size of a golfball on the brain. Told to go home and get our affairs in order there was nothing that could be done, it was terminal as the cancer had already gone past the lymph nodes into the lung, upper and lower bowel, adrenal gland, riddled with advanced stage 4 melanoma.Were given the opportunity to try a trial with immunotherapy, accepted and suffered every known side effect and more.Horrific five years, first two were the worst, immunotherapy, blood tests,scans etc.Treatment worked so well that in February this year came off all immunotherapy and now just monitoring with blood tests and scans.If melanoma ever returns, would be great to know that bisantrene is advanced into the clinic for a cure.
