    dell actually wouldn't speak to Weebit either.


    dell buy their chips from Intel, realtek, Samsung, Broadcom, STmicro and dozens of others.
    Lots of power chips, NIC interfaces, USB controllers , SATA/SAS controllers etc etc. But about 99% have zero non volatile memory.
    just the eeprom , BIOS software , RAID controlly, idrac etc. otherwise everything is on the main SSDs. Long run these can be replaced by ReRAM, but not likely any time soon IMO as it's currently very efficient and incredibly cheap.

    the only chip I can think of off the top of my head that dell would design is the idrac, which uses off chip flash, so probably no eNVM, not logical to change to NVM.
