There is a post on the NVU chat that attached some clips of Mark Gorenson talking at a presentation recently. In the second clip Mark talks about how TSMC is manufacturing their chips and has the ability to ramp up production to meet the needs of any large players that want to incorporate their chip. Then he talks about how they have a collaboration with WBT to go to the 16nm level which is planned to be taped out by October.

Given that Mark sees TSMC as a long term solution to the volume required, and given that WBT is providing them with the ReRam for their 16nm chip, this suggest to me that WBT is already working with TSMC at 16nm. IF (deliberately in uppercase, because its a big IF) the product is taped out in October, it would be reasonable to assume that both TSMC and NVU will sign licensing agreements on or before October.

So IF (another big IF) TSMC signs with WBT, that will mean others will have to move forward, as TSMC who is the biggest player and have their own ReRam solution, see value in WBT tech over and above their own.

All speculation on my part, but this could be the catalyst for the tornado we are all waiting for.
