I have known about WBT before it was WBT (Radar Iron) when I was in Israel. Six months after WBT arrived on the ASX was when I bought in.
WHY? If you take a look at the calibre of the BOD (before Coby joined WBT) and ask yourself why, some of the top executives and developers in the industry have come together to produce what we have now.
It was always going to be a long haul to commercialisation and it was expected to have many failures along the way, which did not happen as the whole design and engineering has been superior from day one. With the likes of Dadi leading the way as well as others plus employing the best engineers, we have produced an embedded solution to a very wide range products. Then on top of that, once we finish design & engineering of the selector for Discrete, in my opinion this will change the whole aspect of storage class memory along with our PIM, and the reason for that is the design expertise that has been accumulated as we have grown is now giving us scalable, high retention & high endurance at a very competitive cost to produce as a replacement to flash in comparison to other products that are being developed at this time.
There have been quite a few other companies that have tried in the past to develop a replacement to Flash and other typed of Mem Technology that have fallen over, with some trying to develop ReRAM. There is one company in particular that have been around as long as WBT that are still at the Cell stage of development.
What we have accomplished since inception has been nothing but miraculous in regards to the industry.
In the last 5 years the industry has very quickly gone into hyperdrive in the development of new technologies which is now putting huge pressure on the semiconductor industry, with a extremely strong emphasis on processors and memory.
As we are the only independent supplier of ReRAM, we are in the box seat to produce. With signings and evaluations in progress, once we have a product as a direct replacement to the incumbent, that gives us a benchmark as to how our technology performs and will be highlighted as to how good WBT is.
