The article is about Samsung working with automotive manufacturers on IoT connectivity. IoT will be a big market driver for embedded non-volatile memory in development of SoC devices, with emphasis on scaling down size, reducing power consumption, and improving performance specs such as endurance, retention, and temperature rating. In all these respects, flash appears to have reached it's limits and ReRAM offers a way forward.
Developments in the IoT ecosystem are thus relevant to WBT as they point to the growing importance of ReRAM. The link may have been better posted on the 'Industry Related Off Topic' thread, but is nonetheless relevant.
