Yes. You are absolutely right and very astute with your observations and your plan. I considerably older than you, but think like you hence my superannuation is worth considerably less than the value of my shares and other assets held in my own name. It gives me greayer flexibility that way, am prepared to pay tax on released gains, and not subjected to the ever-changing super rules which can be imposed at the whim of the current govt and then reversed, added to or whatever when the next government is voted in, possibly the other party. Anyway just wanted to say your thinking is excellent in this matter and I have done very well in myself in growing my assets in my own name. Well done to you....you will do well I suspect.....
