    In the end what I'm concerned about is whether or not we'll see the type of inflation that knocks consumer confidence and causes low growth, no growth or even negative growth (in the consumer component of GDP).

    What we hope is that whatever mix of monetary and fiscal policy they end up using in the end produces decent economic growth sufficient to keep consumer confidence in a healthy state.

    For those considering capital intensive investments into anything that could be seen as being in the consumer discretionary sector, this is a very pressing concern.
