Inflation... can someone tell me how rising interest rates are going to help cure this inflation when it is largely driven by international commodity prices, covid interruptions to supply and worker chains etc.
The only way it will work is by holding our dollar a bit higher and hence imported goods and commodities incl oil will be cheaper, but also only help much if it knocks the stuffing out of the economy ...hence the invested yield curve been in place for a few weeks in The United States
