The USA needs inflation. That's the only way a house currently worth $200,000 with a mortgage of $240,000 will get back to $300,000. I read that one in four houses in the USA with a mortgage is worth less than the mortgage. The faster the inflation, the sooner those home-"owners" can get out of debt.
It's curious that people around the world think it's a good idea to hold American dollars.
