"An apples-to-apples comparison, measuring non-mining profits to non-mining GDP, shows profits have grown relative to GDP in most of the economy, not just in mining. While mining profits surged 89% in the three years to December 2022, non-mining profits increased 29% "
LOL. "The Conversation"... that bastion of objectivity and impartiality.
Show me which companies or sectors grew their profits by 30% between 1999 and 2022.
I own some of the fastest growing shares on the ASX and not even the fast growing technology stocks, such as CAR, REA and TNE, nor structurally fast-growing health care stocks, CSL, COH, RHC, or RMD , grew at that pace.
Nor did the major grocery retailers COL and WOW. And the banks and the property REITs certainly didn't.
Did BXB or ORI? Nope. Building materials stocks? No. The insurers? Doubt it. Wealth management companies? No. Financial services businesses? No
So tell me, which companies/sectors grew their operating profits by 2019 and 2022?
