immigration is causing rent rises. But that is not the issue. The issue is lack of supply of housing and planning at every level of government in not seeing 600,000 migrants needs accommodation. So what does our government do when they plan on increase 600,000 in net migration…. Let’s get all the builder to build wind farms. The only reason housing cost is not higher is some landlords lease has not expired and some are too lazy to kick their tennents out. A lot of property are being rented without listing atm.
