Debt was low before Rudd , he had room to move to deal with the GFC and Oz did deal with it better than anu other developed country .
What he did was on the advice of Treasury .
Part of Scomo and the mad monks spending has been billions on carbon sequestration .

If Scomo was half awake he'd be aware that renewables are Oz's way out of our reliance on foreign oil .
We will be net exporters of energy but it won't be coal as time goes by .

I’m not surprise you don’t know how to interpret the graph nor the comprehend metric.

The graph shown is net debt to GDP ratio a clear measure of fiscal responsibility. I.e not spending beyond your means. Increasing net debt by approx 15 times in 6 years isn’t fiscally responsible government
