    It makes one wonder why they release the annual inflation figure at all (instead of releasing the monthly inflation figure), the annual figure is not remotely accurate to what's going on in the economy. So the number yesterday was 0.3%, which is awfully close to the RBA's .25% upper range limit. The big question is, is this a snapshot that the i rate rises and one-off price shocks are abating and that inflation is coming back under control, or is it a snapshot of a plane plummeting towards the ground?

    The next monthly figure will be pretty important.
