its interesting that the two main drivers of inflation are rents and electricity prices. theres also food prices but these seem to be driven more by the grocery duopoly and supply problems.
rents are seeming to be driven by the post-covid abandonment of shared houses and the airBNB market, while electricity is clearly driven by elevated gas global spot price.
looks like the Albanese Gov is damned if it can control inflation by pressuring these two elements and damned if they don't.
but at least we know what to expect, unlike the secrecy and manipulations of the previous mob.
